Inclimate weather continues to hinder fishing opportunities in the coastal region. High winds are still making it difficult to fish areas that are actually holding fish and my days have been a grind to catch fish. Although the box at the end of the day reveals respectable catches, it is taking lots of patience, struggle, and hard luck to find fish! Most of us fisherman are wondering where the speckled trout have been, are now, and will be in the near future. Some are guessing the harsh winter has played an adverse role in affecting the bait population in turn keeping the trout scattered about the vast area of coastal Louisiana. High rivers can also be attributed to the poor catches seen of late. At the end of the day, I know two things: 1) My customers are having fun! 2) Each day forward is closer to better weather and better fishing!
